He has been a long time Pugmarks user and finds immense value in the recommendations that bubble up on New Tab of his Chrome browser. Here he describes how he uses Pugmarks daily while looking for the next big investment opportunity.

Using Pugmarks to discover stories

For the most part, I like to do a quick scan of the stories suggested on the “New Tab” page. It doesn’t take much effort.

I don’t quite use the ribbon regularly. It sits on the bottom of each page and is easy to ignore. My usage of the ribbon kicks in when I am in a research mode and want to dive deep into a topic.

The Aha moment

Pugmarks has brought about incremental improvements to my browsing. I love the “aha” moments when extremely relevant stories bubble up in my new tab every day or two. I wouldn’t have discovered them elsewhere.

Likes that Pugmarks can stay in the background

This is the part of the about Pugmarks that I really like. After installation, it stays out of the way. I don’t have to interact with the product till it has something useful to offer me.
